Community Noticeboard

BATS Theatre, 14-18 September 2021

Using real-life notes found on the community noticeboards at supermarkets throughout Wellington, Community Noticeboard explores the needs, wants, desires, lives and relationships behind the notice writers and readers.

Sometimes sad, sometimes funny, the truth-based improvised show interweaves characters, narrative and scenarios, bringing to life our community’s ephemera.

(Community Noticeboard was performed under Level 2 restrictions.)

“Best on Tap has an excellent improv style that’s grounded and real, taking the good moments with the bad… Very talented performers with excellent chemistry. Their work is delightful to watch – slick, clever, funny improv that resonates deep in the chest.” ~ Wellingtonista

“A beautifully rendered piece of ‘truth-based, spontaneous theatre’… a stream of poignant and often hilarious mini stories of the human condition… Their talent for instant but genuine characterisation is evident in the diversity and warmth of the relationships they produce. It’s a treat. Don’t miss it.” ~ Regional News
